How To Turn A Chocolate Pie Into Cupcakes

Remember the other day luscious chocolate pie recipe? You can turn it into cupcakes if you wish! Here's how to do so...

Easily turn my luscious chocolate pie into themed cupcakes

Simple pie recipe can make outstanding Belgian chocolate cupcakes to serve at your parties

Cupcakes are among the most popular types of cakes to serve at parties and you might want to turn this yummy chocolate pie recipe into cupcakes. This is doable, of course. However, remember that, since we didn't add baking powder to the mouthwatering chocolate pie mixture, the mini pies won't be as big as cupcakes.

As explained in an article I published about pirate cake and cupcake ideas, you can prepare this chocolate pie recipe in the same way as the normal one but instead of pouring the mixture in a tart mold, you're going to use cupcake molds.

Because of the sugar level of the recipe, I recommend to spread a tiny coat of butter and flour on the mold before pouring the chocolate based mixture; this will help the cupcakes not to sick to the mold.

Naturally, you can also pour the chocolate batter into themed cupcake molds such as flowers, eggs, hearts, Mickey Mouse molds, etc. Then you'll decorate the mini chocolate pies in the same way as you decorate standard cupcakes.

However, and, once again because this delicious chocolate pie is quite heavy, I recommend to put a tiny coat of icing or frosting when you decorate them, more particularly if you pay attention to your kids waistline.

Make Mini Chocolate Pies Using a Non Stick Cupcake Pan

In order to not have the chocolate pie or cupcakes sticking on the mold, I always use a non stick pan. However, if I want to prepare cupcakes out of this mouthwatering chocolate pie recipe, I like to use a non stick mold made out of silicon as it allows me to really easily remove the cupcakes from the molds.

Therefore, whenever you plan to use the chocolate pie recipe above to prepare cupcakes, I highly recommend to use a silicone cupcake pan. Once the mini chocolate pies have cool down, just decorate them with icing, frosting or simply pick a themed cupcake ornament on the center of each pie.
